Gordon started his affair with fly fishing at the age of six, carrying a landing net for his grand father and uncles on the River Nith before being given a rod. Well there was no point in teaching him how to fish if he couldn’t land them!
From there his family took him all over Scotland chasing fish which led to him seeking faraway horizons for larger more ferocious fish. Since then Gordon has fished extensively in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, Cuba, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Christmas Island, Grand Bahama, Seychelles, America, Alaska, British Columbia, Mongolia, Egypt, Zambia, Botswana, Uganda, Mozambique, Tanzania and India.
Gordon worked for the Latin America Fishing Company for four years and led the first group of Europeans into the now famous Tsimane Golden Dorado Lodge in Bolivia before coming to Aardvark McLeod to carry out their exploratories.
In short he would cast a puddle if it showed promise and will boldly go where no rod has been before.
