Charlotte’s introduction to fishing was on the pristine loughs of southern Ireland – trying to outwit wily trout during the mayfly season. Although not entirely successful on the fishing front, these trips started an interest in a hitherto unknown (to her) sport.
From here she’s progressed to fishing Hampshire’s chalk streams, exploring the wilds of New Zealand, Argentina and British Columbia, and the salt flats around the Bahamas and Seychelles.
Having spent 20 years working in the world of African safaris she’s enjoyed expeditions on some of Africa’s great rivers too.
Her primary role at Aardvark McLeod is all things marketing – but having accompanied her fanatical fishing husband on many of his trips, she’s also got a keen eye for what appeals to the less avid, more part-time, fisher in some of these gorgeously unspoilt destinations.
