Pica Zuro is perfectly placed to reach hundreds of private access shooting locations. These hillsides and fields are home to millions of eared doves which fill the skies in truly spectacular numbers.
Varied shooting year-round
With access to over 250,000 acres, guests can shoot a challenging mix of steep hills, sunflower fields, creeks beds and sorghum acreage, enjoying variety and quality shooting year-round. Guns can take positions down in valleys, next to riverbeds or on the peaks and points of the hills. While each location offers its own special characteristics and shooting opportunities, all offer incredible numbers of fast-flying doves. Experienced field assistants are assigned to each gun and will prepare the blind, provide shells and refreshments and generally oversee the experience. Generally, guests leave the lodge around 8.30/9am driving between 20 to 90 minutes (the average is 45) to the shooting location. Shooting is until noon, after which an asado lunch is served in the field under a safari-style tent or thatched quincho. There’s then time for a siesta before the afternoon session starts at around 2/2.30. Guests return to the lodge around 5pm.
Beautiful, comfortable lodge
The lodge is a stylishly refurbished 19th-century estancia and exudes a feeling of old-world elegance. Accommodation comprises five twin and five single rooms and is ideal for groups of up to 12 guests. As well as the luxuriously appointed rooms, facilities include a private game room, outdoor hot tub, lap pool, sauna and massage room. The in-house chefs produce delicious meals using fresh, locally sourced meats and produce.
