Isle of Luing Estate
Superb mixed shooting over interesting topography
The Luing Estate offers some challenging shooting over very interesting topography in the Western Isles. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience superb mixed shooting in a very special setting and would suit a team of guns looking for a mini-escape.
A range of sporting options
The Luing Estate (pronounced ‘Ling’) lies over 9,000 acres of the beautiful and unspoiled islands of Luing and Scarba. Together they offer a large range of sporting options including driven birds, rough shooting, stalking and trout fishing. The walking is superb, with excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing amid the outstanding scenery. Boating trips for sea fishing can also be arranged.
The estate offers early season driven partridge shooting with mixed days mid-season and pheasant towards the end of the season. Luing is also host to woodcock, snipe, mallard and teal, as well as Canada and graylag geese at various times of the year. Driven days are capped at 250 birds, with smaller back-to-back days available if desired. Rough shooting, mini-driven, duck flighting and wildfowling are also available as additions to a driven day or as a standalone.
