Alex has just received this lovely feedback from a client recently returned from Los Roques in Venezuela.

Los Roques was an absolute blast and a meaningful new experience of learning for me. Everything, and I mean absolutely everything, ran smoothly with no issues. John and the Jon Jac team, Luigi, Martina and the Posada Acuarela team, Felipe and the FFLR team all delivered beyond expectation. Everyone and especially Felipe and Martina were generous and authentic which has much experiential value on such a trip and in such a context.

The Los Roques minnow on the right hook was the paramount match for every species I encountered including triggers and everything that thrives on baitfish. As you had described from your experience, I quickly learnt that in this environment almost everything grows on baitfish due to the sheer volume and abundance of them.

Although I learnt a bit, my guide Efren and boatman Jesus told me that proper bonefish understanding of comes with apparently 40-50 years of experience! I never hooked into a bonefish less than than seven pounds, with many topping eight to nine pounds, all with aggressive and explosive takes, resembling juvenile tarpon, with most in 10cm to some in 100cm water depths. This experience truly redefines Caribbean bonefishing and left me speechless and wondering where the smaller bonefish are.

I acknowledge all complexity and appreciate all hard work invested in meticulous planning of volatile processes and logistics which are a part of every project and especially on such an adventure in this context.

With that, kindly send a massive thank you to the entire Aardvark McLeod team and all involved in Venezuela for a great team effort with organising such an incredible trip once again.
