The Irigoyen is a fantastic sea trout river based on Tierra Del Fuego between the towns of Rio Grande and Ushuaia. It is smaller than the Rio Grande, but not in terms of its sea trout. In addition to targeting sea trout, you can also target an unusual but very sporting fish named Robalo, targeting them in the estuary and in the sea pools. Unlike the vast majority of rivers in Tierra del Fuego, the Irigoyen is tree-lined, so you can escape the strong winds that are often associated with the island in general. In Tierra del Fuego terms, it makes for an unusual landscape and the shelter provided is very welcome. It river itself has been closed for many years to outside anglers so has seen very little pressure. We are delighted that it is now back and available from the 2016 season onwards. We have a worldwide exclusive arrangement through ‘World End Lodge’.
The following are some images to show what the river has to offer along with some lodge shots to give you an overall impression of what awaits you.
