British Columbia – July 2025
Join Brett O’Connor on this prime week fishing for chrome chinook on the Skeena, Kitimat, Copper and Kalum Rivers in British Columbia. Angler’s can reasonably expect two to three fish per day, with the chance of plenty more depending on the size of the run. Chums and pinks will be starting to arrive at this time as well so it’s an incredible opportunity to target very fresh fish, guaranteed to put up a spectacular fight.
Chinook are the largest salmon in the world and if you like a challenge and a true achievement then you have to have fly fished for chinook at least once in your life. Based at Skeena River Lodge we will be fishing for these magnificent fish in the company of expert guides. Hooking one is like catching a jet boat – they’ll clean out all your backing in seconds. You need the best of the best material, skill and guides to land one of the last true giants of the river.
Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Saturday 5th July. Guests will be collected from Terrace BC airport and transferred to the lodge. There will be time to settle in, prepare equipment, enjoy a great meal and have a good night’s rest before the first day on the water.
