Gassa Camp, situated on the Faro River in Cameroon, has, over the past six years, evolved into an iconic African fly fishery. Home to massive Nile perch, three species of tigerfish, Niger barb, large-scaled tetra, and a variety of other species, it offers an incredibly diverse fly fishing experience in Africa.
What makes this destination even more remarkable is that it all unfolds in one of West Africa’s last true wilderness areas, home to iconic big game such as lion, forest buffalo, Lord Derby eland, elephant, and leopard, as well as endemic West African bird and mammal species. This combination makes Gassa Camp a bucket list destination for both naturalists and anglers alike.
