Estancia Maria Behety (EMB) – La Villa – Fishing Report – 23 February – 2 March, 2019. Sea trout fishing on the Rio Grande, Argentina.
Another week just ended at La Villa Estancia Maria Behety.
The fishing was very good this week on the Rio Grande, great quality of fish, 120 fish were landed, 42 fish over 15 pounds, 10 over 20, Average weight 12 pounds, the best average for the season so far.
We were using very small nymphs tied on circle hooks, the fish hooked themselves. The flies were always in the scissors, we lost very few fish for the week. Swinging these flies with a sink tip and floating lines and flies, like sunray tubes, green machine worked very well.
Top rod of the week was Michael Graham with 30 fish to the net, the biggest 24 pounds.
Michael Graham landed the biggest fish for the week, 24 pounds
