Grand Bahama is just 25 minutes by plane from Fort Lauderdale and East End Lodge an easy 45 minute transfer from the airport. The lodge offers access to some of the most productive bonefishing in the area along with a team of guides who have grown up on the flats and whose knowledge is legendary. It’s a wonderful spot to target big bones – the average fish is between five and six pounds, with ten pound plus fish seen on a daily basis. There are permit here too and these tend to range in size from 15 to 25lb. Other species include barracuda, snapper and jacks.
