Skeena River Lodge

Experience the pristine rivers of British Columbia

Set on the lower Skeena River, Skeena River Lodge is a superb salmon and steelhead lodge. Guests can fish multiple sections of the Skeena, Kalum, Copper and Kitimat Rivers in the company of skilled guides. All five species of Pacific salmon are found here, along with the elusive steelhead. The scenery is breathtaking, with moose, bears and wolves common companions on the river, while bald eagles soar above.

Fulfil your fly fishing dreams

Skeena River Lodge enjoys a long season. Mid-March through the end of April is spring steelhead season. Mid-June through early August is the time for large chinook. By mid-August the lodge is targeting summer steelhead and that season continues until the end of October. All fishing is done while wading and guests are transported from place to place by jet boat or raft. At some times, guests will just walk from the lodge to their boat and fish the Skeena. At other times, guests will trailer boats to a wide range of rivers or put-ins. The shortest drive is around 15 minutes, the longest around 50. Once in the boat anglers will start fishing very quickly. Sink tips are used for most seasons. They may be very light with unweighted tube flies or quite heavy, with large heavy flies. Guests proficient with Spey rods will often have the most success.
