Madison River Lodge, Montana
Superb location on the Madison River
Madison River Lodge sits right on the banks of the Madison River – the river literally wraps around it in a huge bend. Right in the middle of the famous Upper Madison ’50 mile riffle’, its location is hard to beat. The legendary waters of Yellowstone Park are only 40 minutes away and the trophy dry fly fisheries of Hebgen and Quake Lakes are just minutes upstream. A longer drive will take anglers on the Ruby, Jefferson, Gallatin and Missouri Rivers as well as several private access fisheries.
Plenty of variety with a wide selection of rivers, lakes and creeks
Madison River Lodge sits dead centre in the varied river sections of the Maidson River and is directly on the most consistent portion of the river with the highest trout densities. The Madison is one of the most consistent in all of Montana and fishes well in both high water and drought years. There are over 5,000 trout per mile near the lodge, with plenty of big wild browns and rainbows to keep anglers happy. Guests can fish right from the lodge or can make a short drive to wade areas up river and down. As well as Yellowstone National Park just 40 minutes upstream, several other rivers and exclusive private ranch fisheries can be targeted in the other direction downstream.
Lovely lodge with direct river access
Madison River Lodge has five bedrooms and accommodates a maximum of ten anglers. Each en-suite room has a walk out deck that overlooks the river. Guests will enjoy excellent food and very good guiding.
Easy access to remote Montana
The closest commercial airport is Bozeman which is about an hour from the lodge. Private aircraft and charter flights can land about 15 minutes away at a smaller airport.
