Hotel L’Archipel is a charming, elegant home away from home full of Creole flair. Surrounded by natural beauty, it’s a perfect spot for anyone looking for seclusion, tranquillity and personal service. One of the more established properties on Praslin, this 30 year old hotel has been recently refurbished and is ready again to weave its spell over visitors.

There’s a lovely swimming pool and a gorgeous beach for guests to enjoy. Other activities include fishing excursions, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, scuba diving and snorkelling. There’s plenty to explore on Praslin and the hotel can arrange outings to the legendary Vallée de Mai, golf at Lemuria and to various beaches famous for their stunning scenery. Although the hotel doesn’t have an in-house spa, various in-room treatments can be arranged including massages and reflexology.
A range of elegant accommodation
There are 32 rooms nestled into the hillside. Among these are four superior rooms which are located on the ground floor of the colonial-style main building. The 16 deluxe rooms are scattered on the hillside and gardens and are just steps away from the beach. Ten senior suites offer the utmost in comfort and luxury and two of these are interconnecting making them a good choice for family travellers. Finally, there are two family suites set on the top floor of the main building, each offering sweeping views of the hotel grounds and the bay. They are very spacious with two en-suite bedrooms, a separate lounge and verandah.
There are two restaurants at L’Archipel. La Gigolette opens its large windows and terrace right on the beach and guests can enjoy the soft breeze and the stunning ocean view while enjoying delicious international and traditional Creole cuisines with modern twists on classic dishes. La Feuille d’Or, located on the first floor by the bar, also offers a lovely panorama and a more secluded atmosphere, ideal when the weather does not allow for outdoor dining. Dining facilities are completed by the pool bar which serves cocktails and light snacks during the day
Spectacular setting on one of Praslin Island’s beautiful beaches
Located in the north east part of Praslin, the second largest of the Seychelles islands, and at the end of the famous Côte D’Or Bay, L’Archipel enjoys a truly spectacular setting. Praslin Island is 40km north east of the main island Mahé and is serviced by daily Air Seychelles domestic flights that link the two islands within 20 minutes. A fast ferry also runs between the two with journeys lasting around an hour.
