Angling Baja, Mexico

Epic fly fishing in Baja

La Ventana is an angler’s paradise and offers some of the best fishing opportunities in the world. This idyllic village is on the eastern side of the Sea of Cortez in which fishermen will find over 700 fish species. This body of water between the Baja California peninsula and the Mexican mainland is a prolific fishery and home iconic game fish including marlin, sailfish, and roosterfish. Anglers will also find pelagic species like mahi mahi, various tuna species, and blue and black marlin. Among other sporty and challenging species are milkfish, jacks, triggerfish and pompanos.

Customised fishing to suit your preferences

Fishing styles include fly fishing, jigging, lures and poppers. The maximum number of anglers is six anglers per day, with two anglers per panga. (Larger groups may be able to be accommodated with prior notice). The 22-foot pangas are powered by a single engine and are equipped with a centre console, back and front casting platforms with non-slip flooring. The guide team consists of highly experienced fishing guides who are driven by their passion for fishing. They have a wealth of knowledge of the best fishing spots and techniques and can provide insight that only an experienced angler can. Fishing can be customised, catering to specific preferences, trip duration and target species. The fishing day generally starts earlier than in other destinations and anglers are back at the hotel by around midday which frees up the entire afternoon.
