Air Temperature: 30-34C (day) 20-22C (night)

River Conditions: The water is still rising daily, and is now pale green colour. In addition to colour change, there were a lot of leaves and branches drifting down the river.
Fishing Conditions
Peacock bass, matrinxas and pacu were more active this week than the last. The first two days of the week were similar to the week before, with payaras actively chasing baitfish on the surface. The fish were most reactive to fast retrieve close to the surface. There was steady action throughout the week, but the activity tailed off a little towards the end of the week.

Adalberto and Esmerildo had one especially good afternoon, landing 20 Payaras. More than a dozen came from the same pool. These fish were highly aggressive, and we didn’t let a second go by without casting to them.
