Along with stellar permit fishing at Mayazul Lodge, there are huge schools of bonefish and snook. Around Easter each year, migratory tarpon enter the bay too and spend their summer in the clear, warm waters. Most of these tarpon are 50 to 100lb, with some bigger specimens out there as well. From March to August tarpon are not only present but prolific – it’s a great time to target these big acrobats.

Mayazul Lodge is an elegant intimate lodge, set right on the beach among swaying palms. It’s a short walk each day to the boats where two guides await each angler.
