While we’re battling rain and wind in Europe, Mexico and the Bahamas offer great weather and great fishing. If you’re keen to escape for a while, we’ve got some limited space to offer at three great lodges:

Mexico – Mayazul Lodge

A great spot for anyone looking to fish for permit. Spring and summer last year were excellent with conditions allowing for more than 150 permit to be caught along with an impressive number of migratory tarpon.

Bahamas – Abaco Lodge

Fishing has been fantastic with plenty of bonefish being caught, including many first time catches. Warmer weather early in the season brought exciting permit sightings along with plenty of juvenile tarpon. The mangroves are recovering well after hurricane Dorian and the lodge, in partnership with the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, played a hand in rehabilitation efforts by planting over 800 mangroves just before Christmas.
