Heath House

Great mix of partridge and pheasant shooting

Heath House is a private estate is set amongst 1,400 acres of well-managed woodlands and rolling hills providing the perfect topography for a varied day’s shooting. It shows a great mix of partridge and pheasant with dedicated drives for each as well as mixed drives with birds coming over beech trees and off tall banks.

Fast birds and a friendly environment

The main pheasant pens are located in the centre of the estate so the birds tend to go like bullets back home, especially when there is good wind. Hugo, the shoot owner, prides himself on managing the day and makes a point of all the guns having a fun day without the worry of any overage. It is the perfect shoot for a team of eight guns in October, and from November onwards Heath House can accommodate a team of nine. 4x4s are needed to get around the shoot, we can of course help with this.

Personalised service in a lovely setting

The day starts at the main house with tea and coffee during the morning brief and pegs being drawn. Guns usually shoot a couple of drives before having elevenses in the field. Weather and light depending, it is your choice whether you stop for three course lunch or shoot through. Lunch is usually at Turner and Thorn, a cafe located on the estate which will be exclusively yours for the day. Wine is included with the meal.
