It was with great pleasure that I read the following announcement from Alphonse, confirming that the dive operatiion will be back up and running on Alphonse for the 2014/2015 season.

I’m delighted to confirm that as of 1 November 2014 the diving will be back up and running at Alphonse Island.  The fully equipped dive centre at Alphonse and professional team of international diving instructors will make your experience at Alphonse resort a personal, safe and unforgettable one. The sheer drop offs, rich currents and abundant sea life that surrounds the Alphonse group of atolls makes it one of the most exciting and diverse dive destinations in Seychelles. The pristine sites around both Alphonse and St Francois are famous for warm crystal clear waters, unbleached corals, great visibility and a diverse range of fish species comprising of reef, pelagic and shark species. Daily encounters with Stingrays, Turtles, Moray Eels, Barracuda, Wahoo, Sharks, Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, Trevally and many more make the dives extremely memorable. The thirteen Alphonse dive sites are suitable for all categories of divers, which makes the area an exciting experience for both beginners and advanced who will enjoy the various drift dives on offer. The various sites are easily accessible and vary between ten and thirty minutes from the dive boat mooring site. The dive centre also offers scuba kids, discover, NDL diver, advanced and universal diver courses.

DIVING PRICES, ALPHONSE ISLAND NOVEMBER 2014 – MAY 2015

DIVING (prices include rental)
Single Scuba dive (certified divers. Per dive 1 hr / 50 bar) – US$120
Double tank dive (1st dive followed by 1 hr interval, second dive different dive site) – US$220
5 Dive Package (per package/per person) – US$550
10 Dive Package (per package/per person) – US$1000

Please note that a dive card/logbook must be presented prior to booking a dive.  Any activity booked and NOT cancelled the night before will be charged unless it is due to weather cancellation.

NDL DIVING COURSES: NON-CERTIFICATION COURSES
Scuba KIDS 8-10 years (30 mins). Pool session + scuba equipment. Does not include sea dive – US$100
Test Dive Resort Course. Theory, pool session and 1 scuba dive and all equipment – US$210
Scuba review/refresher (2 hrs). Mandatory if diver hasn’t dived within the last 12 months – US$120

NDL DIVING COURSES: CERTIFICIATION COURSES
NDL Diver course (3 days). Lectures, online training, tests and 4 dives – US$800
NDL Universal diver course (2 days). Training and 5 dives – US$700

GUIDED SNORKELLING TRIPS
Alphonse guided snorkelling trip
1 hr 30 mins. Includes snorkelling equipment (min 2 paying pax) – US$35 per person

St Francois guided snorkelling trip
1 hr 30 mins. Includes snorkelling equipment (min 4 paying pax) – US$75 per person

Children under 11 years are FOC but must be accommpanied by 1 adult per child)
