Charles Jardine was born into a family of fly fishers and artists; his father being the late wildlife artist and respected salmon fisher: Alex Jardine. In 1976, after a near continuous association with the streams and still waters of the south, Charles was invited to work with Dermot Wilson at Nether Wallop Mill in Hampshire as a full time guide and later instructor.
Since then, Charles has made a big name for himself within fly fishing around the globe through his writing, illustrations, demonstrations and all round passion for the sport. More recently he has set up and run the hugely successful Fishing for Schools initiative.
Whilst he may have fished all over the world for a whole host of different species, Charles is constantly drawn back to the streams and rivers of his early career in the Hampshire valleys. We are delighted to offer the chance to share a day on the River Test with him this season. This is a wonderful chance to learn and see the river and sport through the eyes of someone who has truly shaped the sport into what we know it today.
If you are looking for a special fly fishing trip, join Charles Jardine on the English chalkstreams in 2019. With venues ranging across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Dorset we will be able to provide the perfect day on the water.
If you would like more information or to book one of these fantastic days please contact Alex Jardine or call our office on +44(0)1980 847389.
